Festival Updates...
You can view the schedule for Stowmarket Festival 2012 at the Festival Programme section of the website. However, there's some additional events and other changes to the programme to make you aware of so here goes.....
New event added - Killamonjambo, Butterfly and Jackknife Horsebox LIVE at the John Peel Centre!
Friday 1st June, 8pm till 11.30pm. Tickets £5 on the door.
This one missed the deadline for the festival guide but it's a great one for lovers of live music! The wonderful Stowmarket based promoters, Ultrazang are bringing the brilliant ska / funk outfit Killamonjambo (who are also booked to play StowFest on Saturday 9th June) to the John Peel Centre . They'll be supported by Jackknife Horsebox (dancey, country, indie), Butterfly (physche indie) and DJ Celestial Tone (psychadelic to progressive trance). Entry costs just £5 on the door.
Event update - venue confirmed for Jubilee Garden Party Concert on 9th June
Stowmarket Concert Band has confirmed that this event will take place in the Parish Churchyard. Check the festival schedule for details of the event

- We are hoping to arrange some entertainment to accompany the Farmers' Market on Friday 1st June and as soon as we do, we'll give you the details right here.
- Jubilee Songs of Praise event at the Parish Church - this is another event to be added to the schedule. What are the details? Not quite sure just yet - we'll find out and let you know.
- Stowmarket Chorale plus support at the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts on Thursday 7th June - but who is the support act? We still don't know! We'll tell you here when we do though!
StowFest - Stowmarket's free two-day music festival!
The Main Stage line-up for the two-day music festival, StowFest - which is part of Stowmarket Festival - has been finalised. There's all sorts of great music scheduled to feature on the StowFest stage as usual. There will also be The Amplitude Stage on the Saturday, featuring young bands and performers from the Amplitude Project, and on the Sunday there will be the John Peel Centre Stage, organised by the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts project team. The event will be held on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June at Chilton Fields, Stowmarket. Entry is free. Visit www.stowfest.co.uk for more information.
The line-up for StowBlues - which was a massive success when it launched during Stowmarket Festival 2011 - has also been announced. The free blues festival, also part of Stowmarket Festival, will take place at the Museum of East Anglian Life on Saturday 2nd June. Entry is free. You can find the line-up here.
