Welcome to the website of Stowmarket Festival, an exciting new festival featuring all sorts of arts and entertainment activities which took place around Stowmarket between 27th May and the 6th June 2010.

The first festival was a real success with many highlights which attracted good numbers of people. Festival Co-ordinator Daniel Harvey said, "This was a great start to what we hope to make an annual event that grows each year. We wanted the festival to bring new things to the town and we achieved that with so many of the events - the comedy night at The Regal, the flame show at Red Gables, the concert at the John Peel Centre, the excellent street entertainment, the parkour jam and the StowFest Acoustic Sessions"

The festival has also kickstarted some new activities in the Town. There will be a second comedy night at The Regal on Sunday 29th August (the day before the August bank holiday) whilst there are plans to stage street entertainment in the market place during the summer holidays and it is hoped that more events can be staged in the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts.
